Before becoming the huge player of Real Madrid in the 1950s, the native of Buenos Aires starts in Argentina and performs his first international matches under the colors of his home country, Argentina, which wins the Copa America 1947 in Ecuador. Author of 6 goals during the tournament, Alfrédo Di Stefano then scored a hat-trick in the match against Colombia.
